Bronze's cuisine is a combination of creativity, refined technique and emotion.
Born and trained in Brazil, Felipe Bronze graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York with a degree in Culinary Arts. Upon returning home, he gained experience working in renowned establishments such as Sushi Leblon and Zuka, before launching his first venture, Z Contemporâneo, in 2004. In 2010, he opened his most iconic restaurant, Oro, in Rio de Janeiro, alongside his partner and sommelier, Cecilia Aldaz.
Oro's menu offers a modern interpretation of Rio street food, combining it with the techniques of haute cuisine and a strong focus on fire cooking. Bronze has further developed this concept since remodelling the restaurant in 2016 by introducing a grill, charcoal and Japanese yakitori. In 2013, Oro received its first Michelin star, achieving two stars in 2017 and becoming one of the few restaurants in Latin America to receive this distinction.Beyond the kitchen, Felipe is a familiar face on Brazilian television. He has hosted programmes such as Tá na Época and O Mago da Cozinha, and he currently presents Que Seja Doce, The Taste Brasil and Top Chef Brasil.
