As part of San Sebastián Gastronomika, Mireia Torres (Director of Innovation and Sustainability at Familia Torres) and Sergi Castro (the house sommelier) will lead a unique journey through the history of this iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, which was first produced in 1970 in the heart of the Penedès region and is now a legend in the world of wine.
 

After presenting Mas La Plana 2020, which celebrates a 50-year legacy, the tasting will take participants on a journey through different vintages. This will showcase the potential of the 29-hectare Mediterranean terroir comprising organic and regenerative vineyards, as well as the elegant, long-lasting character of the wine. The tasting will also provide context for historical milestones such as the wine's international acclaim at the 1979 'Gault & Millau' Wine Olympics, as well as the recent accolades for the 2020 vintage. These milestones highlight half a century of innovation, provenance, and excellence.
