1,001 Flavours from the Region of Murcia

Sponsored by Gobierno de la Región de Murcia

The Murcia region is claiming its rightful place on the Spanish gastronomic map.

Today, Murcia is known as a producer and exporter of fruit and vegetables to half the world. However, for several centuries it was a national and international player in cultivating mulberry trees and in the silk industry. An economic activity that shaped Murcian society.

Today, with the help of the two Michelin-starred chefs from Murcia, Pablo González Conejero (La Cabaña-Buenavista) and María Gómez (Magoga), and supported by the work of the researchers, we will see how the world of mulberry and silk reaches our tablecloths to revive and integrate threads of memory.
