It would be unfair, though very tempting, to only look at the wonderful interviews that Cristina has done with the great chefs in recent times in La Vanguardia (and that are compiled in her recent book) to make her worthy of this award. Because Cristina, a high-voltage journalist who has covered all aspects – great reports, articles, reviews, etc. – in the field of gastronomy, deserves it for all of the nooks and crannies she has touched on in her long, productive career.

With a deep knowledge of the world’s cuisines, a precise literary awareness, a strong element of social responsibility and a unique journalistic intuition, Cristina Jolonch is the winner of this great international award in memory of the journalist Pau Albornà i Torras.
