Baluarte Restaurant (Soria)

Oscar is a one of the Top 20 outstanding young Spanish chefs in our country in the ranking compiled by the economic newspaper Expansión. He started his professional career in Vinuesa, his home town. At the age of just 21, he took charge of the family business, the Alvargonzález hotel restaurant. In 2008, he moved to Soria, where he undertook a new project in the iconic, noble palace of Alcantara, which at that time became an essential reference point in the culinary arts of the province.

In 2010, he was named Best Young Entrepreneur (Foes) and Best Entrepreneur by ASHOTUR. In 2014 he was named “Best Chef” in Castile and Leon by the Royal Academy of Gastronomy and, in 2016, Best Restaurant.

He has been awarded one Michelin star and two Repsol suns.
