La Botica de Matapozuelos (Matapozuelos)

Miguel Ángel de la Cruz was born in 1976 and, after working at the family inn, studied hotel management and catering in Segovia and opened his own establishment. His contemporary cuisine at the La Botica de Matapozuelos restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star and two suns in the Repsol guide.

He won Best Chef in Castile and Leon, awarded by the CyL Academy of Gastronomy and also the Castile and Leon Best Chef Competition in 2008. His cuisine is about proximity and research, demanding and exalting products close to the restaurant, linked to the rural environment.

He has taught cooking (ICEX, CIA and Hattori, among other prestigious national and international institutions).

He is the author of the book “El cocinero recolector y las plantas silvestres”.
