Contraste Restaurant (Milan, Italy)

A private course was the spark that aroused the passion for cooking of this Uruguayan, who was born in 1980. At the age of 14, his ambition was already clear: to become the chef of El Cóndor, the first 5-star hotel in his country. Perdomo took his knowledge to a small Chilean delicatessen, then to a French-style catering service and the restaurant Paninis specialising in Italian cuisine. That is where he picked his first fruits, making the small shop into a chain, with three points scattered all over the country. The desire to grow encouraged him to reach out and support his friend Juan in Italy at the restaurant Pont de Ferr. Meanwhile, he took time to travel to Spain to continue his learning at restaurants with stars of the likes of Berasategui in San Sebastian and El Celler de Can Roca in Girona. In 2011, his creative talents and way of cooking without borders earned him a Michelin star. Four years later, still in Milan, he opened his restaurant, Contraste, together with his fellow adventurers Thomas Piras and Simon Press.
