Born in Valencia on 15 August 1975.

Valencia and its Mediterranean offer a place for a Begoña Rodrigo who didn’t get into the world of cuisine the traditional way. After studying industrial design, she started out in kitchens and hotels in Holland and, from there, travelled all over the world. After a stint at the London Aquarium, she returned to Valencia in 2003. Today, the restaurant has now been serving diners for 14 years. The well-defined flavours, the exquisite beauty of her creations, technique at the service of taste and an excellent selection of products make Begoña Rodrigo’s cuisine something special.

She won the first edition of Top Chef. She is also the author of two books.

She was named Chef of the Year of the Autonomous Community of Valencia in 2014. And she also holds the WOMAN 2018 award for entrepreneurial women, among others.

In 2016 she opened her second restaurant, Nomad,where she goes back to the world cuisine of her beginnings; and this year she is set to open another with the same name in Valencia’s city centre.
