Alejandro Ibáñez
Chef at Barahonda (Yecla, Murcia)

Alejandro studied at the Mediterranean Hospitality School in Valencia, completing his internship at Maralba in Almansa under chef Fran Martínez and at La Finca in Elche under Susi Díaz.
After finishing his studies, the young man from Yecla ended up in the Basque Country. For the last eight years, he has been in charge of the kitchens at Barahonda, a restaurant where surroundings and memories merge with gastronomy. However, Barahonda is not only a restaurant, but also a winery, enabling him to work closely with the vineyards. He is fascinated by the connection between cuisine and vineyards as part of the gastronomic narrative.
