Jeferson García
Chef at Afluente (Bogotá, Colombia)

Jeferson García is a culinary globetrotter who has returned to Bogotá with the aim of shaking things up and stimulating a change of pace in the city's restaurant scene.
He studied at SENA and has worked in professional gastronomy for 14 years, in kitchens such as Boragó and 99 in Chile, Santa Teresita in Punta del Este, Uruguay and Central in Peru. He has also travelled to Europe and Asia, working in Michelin-starred establishments such as Gaggan and GA in Thailand and Amass, Jordnaer, Alchemist, Kadeau and Relae in Denmark. It was here that he won a scholarship to the renowned Mad Academy.
In 2021, he returned to Colombia to become the chef at Afluente, a restaurant that is quickly attracting attention by breaking away from the usual trends. He is also planning to open his own restaurant, also called Afluente, in 2024.
